The "WINGRIDERS LEBANON" association in collaboration with Go IV Real Events held a press conference on August 28, 2015 at The Four Seasons to launch the '1001 helmets'campaign. The campaign aims to raise awareness for the protection of bike riders and for general safety by the distribution of helmets, which arecompliant with international safety standards, to members of the Lebanese Army, Internal Security Forces, Red Cross, Civil Defense, and other eligible people.
Were present In the press conference: Dr Bilal Hamad President of the municipal board of Beirut, Political journalist Ali Hamade, TV star Youssef El Khal (the campaign's face), Economist Ghassan Kteiyleh, President of the association Asaad Nehme, campaign Presidentand Organizer Hana Najjar, TV presenter Nadia Bsat and 'Yasa' representative Ziad Akl.
A Number of businessmen and journalists who attended the press conference discussed many related issues and particularly the work plan, and the distribution of the helmets and most of all the goal of the campaign which is the reduction of road accidents and casualties. The campaign will start in 'President Rene Mouawad Gardenin Sanayeh, Beirut on September 20th, 2015 toextend afterwards to Jbeil and other Lebanese regions.
