Again and again we participated in another special test-drive experience, and this time was the brand icon of 4x4.
Jeep hosted an international ride and drive event in Sicily, Italy and we were there off-roading on the rocky dirt roads of an angry Mount Etna, Europe's most active volcano.
After a blooming relationship between Chrysler and Fiat, the Renegade is the first Jeep built on Italian soil. And the levels of luxury, quality and refinement offered by Jeep products have improved too. The Renegade was the main purpose of this event in Sicily showing its capability and specially during off-road, and since the Jeep Experience Days title was, You don't drive it, you live it, we test all the Jeep lineup (Renegade, Cherokee, Grand Cherokee and Wrangler) to discover this routing, starting from the Donnafugata Golf Resort & Spa to the most violent eruption of Etna Volcano in recent times, passing all kind of surface such as mud, rock and water.
The Renegade

Cherokee
Jeep Cherokee goes far and wide with its legendary Jeep brand DNA. It's available with three different engines to choose from: the efficient 2.0L Turbo Diesel, the powerful 3.2L Pentastar V6, and the recently introduced 2.2L Turbo Diesel. Cherokee features a 9-speed automatic transmission and provides a choice of three innovative 4x4 systems for best-in-class 4x4 capability in all weather conditions (Jeep Active Drive I, Jeep Active Drive II and Jeep Active Drive Lock). The Selec-Terrain system offers: Auto, Snow, Sport, Sand/Mud modes and on Trailhawk version adds the Rock mode. The Jeep Cherokee is also the first mid-size SUV to feature rear-axle disconnect. The new Cherokee was engineered with more than 70 available safety and security features and earned the Euro NCAP five-star rating.

Wrangler
This legendary Jeep icon has been a symbol of freedom for over 70 years. Wrangler Sport and Sahara have the second-generation Command-Trac traction system integral 2-speed insertion running "SHIFT-ON-THE-FLY". Rubicon is equipped with a splitter Off Road Rock-Trac insertable "SHIFT-ON-THE-FLY" two-speed with an exceptional ratio of 4.0:1. Rubicon is also equipped with Tru-Lok which locks front and rear wheels with an axle ratio of 4.10 and the electronic device Active Sway Bar System (ASBS) comes as standard on Rubicon.
